Penland Picnic

I had the opportunity to attend IlaSahai Prouty's Art of Experience: Facilitating Community-Based Art at Penland during a two-week summer workshop. During this time, we observed how about to navigate group dynamics, to organize meaningful social interaction, and to be present and conscious in an environment.

We held a picnic during the second week, a communal activity with each person sharing a gift with everyone in our group. I created little prints/napkins on Rives BFK with everyone's faces as a memento of our time together—amazing companions and all the feels.

Angry Wave

Contemporary master copy of Hokusai's The Great Wave off Kanagawa—a mindless mass of hands, sucked into a little game and a faceless community. This was my final work for a foundational 2D Design course taught by Linda Lopez, building my roots for principles and elements of design.

Really, I just wanted to doodle some hands.
